Menifee Valley Flyers requires all of its members to participate on a committee. These committees have been established to provide a listing of its members interested in helping the club in special areas. Please write a 1, 2, or 3 on the lines below by the committee name, in order of your preference. The Board of Directors will try to place you on the committee of your choice. If that committee is fully staffed at this time, you will be placed on your second choice, or third choice. If none of your choices are available, you will be contacted and a suitable alternate found.

__ Safety - Maintain a safe flying environment
__ Event - Organizes, supervises in flying events at the field
__ Instruction - Instructs student pilots in ground and flight procedures
__ Field maintenance - Maintains flying field
__ Program - Plans and conducts programs at monthly meetings
__ Membership - Helps require new members
__ Outside Event Liaison - Coordinates transportation to outside events

Your membership will be voted on after you have attended one meeting, paid your Initiation fee, yearly dues, and present your current AMA card to the Club Treasurer.

INFORMATION FOR PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS OF MENIFEE VALLEY FLYERS

To become a member the following requirements must be met:

Menifee Valley Flyers has a membership limit of 100. New prospective members are required to place their name on a waiting list. Available openings will be assigned in order. If a prospective member misses three consecutive meetings, his/her name will be placed at the end of the list. (Special circumstances may be excepted).

1. You must sign and return this application to the Membership Chairman or Club Treasurer.
2. You are eligible to become a member after attending one meeting.
3. You must join AMA or present proof of current membership in the AMA and sign the release form below.
4. All applicants are approved by a simple majority mail in vote of the members present at that meeting.

RELEASE
(To be signed at time dues are paid)

With full knowledge and appreciation that flying R/C model aircraft is a hazardous activity, I hereby release and hold harmless the Menifee Valley Flyers, AMA Chapter 1717, its officers, and all parties associated with the organization and their successors and assigns, from any and all responsibility for injury to myself and or property, direct or indirect, arising as a result of my participation in any activity sponsored by the Menifee Valley Flyers, prior to, during or after such activity. This release covers all Menifee Valley Flyers activities prior to and including the date signed below. This release covers myself and all parties named herein, and all heirs, executors, or administrators thereto, and is given in full awareness of its content and in consideration of acceptance on my membership.

Club dues are $40.00 one time fee, $48.00/year.
